Who Staffing is looking for an Investment Management Associate for a full-time, direct hire opportunity with our client in Baltimore, MD.

The Investment Management Associate will be highly motivated and an important part of the client’s growing investment advisory department. This position will be responsible for daily portfolio management, trade execution, maintenance of client portfolio models, investment due diligence, client investment proposals, performance reporting, client account, and security setup, along with various other investment team or advisor directed projects.
Job Responsibilities:
· Portfolio Management:
o Manage client portfolios in line with the firm’s investment philosophy.
o Develop a mastery of our trading and rebalancing systems in order to coordinate and execute individual and block trades on behalf of our 400+ clients.
o Trading will include rebalancing portfolios, investing cash deposits, raising cash for withdrawals, tax loss harvesting, and targeted asset allocation across client accounts.
o Work with our external trading desk to execute individual fixed income trades.
o Coordinate automatic withdrawal/deposit plans in client accounts.
o Maintain Cost Basis and Purchase Date History.
o Ensure client portfolios are properly aligned with their individual investment target allocation and goals.
· Investment Due Diligence:
o Monitor the firm’s investments to ensure they are aligned with client goals and portfolio objectives.
o Create internal reports to track investments.
o Run investment screens across the various asset classes in our portfolios.
o Follow periodic fund manager updates and record notes.
· Client Investment Proposals:
o Create investment proposals, including proposals to onboard new clients to our investment models, re-allocations of current client portfolios, or allocations for client retirement accounts.
· Performance Platform & Reporting:
o Prepare monthly performance reports on the firm’s core holdings
o Setup and maintain client accounts, including complex alternative holdings
o Troubleshoot data and reporting discrepancies.
o Generate internal audits, such as classifying securities, maintaining pricing, and transactional data.
o Develop new Views and Attributes to facilitate automation and best execution.
· Ability to follow a financial plan, identify issues, and execute it properly.
· Assist the investment department & advisors with various projects related to investments, performance reporting, and client account setup.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree with relevant undergraduate coursework, along with 2+ years’ experience working in an investment-related role. Other crucial skills are as follows:
