Who Staffing is looking for a Business Development Associate for a fulltime, direct hire opportunity with our client in Baltimore, MD.
Job Summary:
This role is primarily responsible for supporting and generating new prospect opportunities through business development, client relationship management, market segment focus and effective presentations. BD Associate will collaborate with the Director, Engagement & Strategic Partnerships and other staff members to improve new business acquisition and profitability through strategic planning and execution. BD Associate will use consultative selling and business development techniques to uncover a prospect’s needs as it pertains to client’s suite of services and develop relationships with prospects and partners to drive new revenue opportunities. BD Associate is expected to achieve all activity and revenue goals. This role requires teamwork, organization, excellent communication and a passion to succeed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Performance of the BD Associate will be evaluated according to the standards set out below:
External Business Development:
• Identify new prospects and leads using various business development tactics including networking, referral and COI marketing, content strategy and building strategic alliances
• Set appointments and conduct meetings with prospects (existing and potential) to determine if they are qualified
• Set appointments and build strong relationships with industry-related COI’s and referral partners to gain access to their networks and drive referral business. Nurture COI’s and referral partners.
• Develop and execute on efficient and effective nurturing and follow up campaigns to all prospects and partners using value-added content and assets in order to maintain strong relationships
• Actively engage in multiple industry related organizations, attend educational and networking events and social functions with the purpose of meeting new prospects
• Accountable for the acquisition of new projects and successful transition of relationship to the appropriate division of work.
• Promote client in public settings, meetings and via content strategy
• Achieve all activity and revenue goals on a monthly and yearly basis
• Demonstrate highest standard of professionalism and maturity as it pertains to clients and internal staff
Internal Business Development:
• Work with Director to ensure good communication between all departments
• Help with development of sales and content materials, such as PowerPoint, PDF leave-behinds, etc.
• Assist Director in documented content strategy that includes social media, blogs and speaking engagements
• Assist Director in event marketing opportunities including management of attendees and follow up activity
• Work with our LuxorCRM to document sales activities such as email and phone conversations, conducted meetings, drop ins, documents, tasks and notes
• Attend all sales meetings, one-on-one and training sessions as well as work with the management team on best practices, product enhancements, and prospect feedback.
• Develop a yearly business development plan that illustrates how you will achieve your goals and what tactics you’ll use to grow your business

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Education:
• College degree or comparable work experience.
Experience:
• 3-5 years of direct sales or business development experience in the B2B market with demonstrated success in client acquisition, relationship building and closing
• Experience in selling face-to-face to facilities and maintenance staff.
• Excellent relationship building skills and a true “closer” mentality
Specific Skills:
• Strong technical skills including CRM, MS 365, social media
• Strong oral and written communication and organizational skills
Working Conditions:
Attendance at networking events. Local travel and some regional travel may be required. Ability to work with minimal supervision.
